It was originally expected to be released last week, but Microsoft confirmed through its official Windows Insider Program account that the release of this version will be postponed.
Later, Brandon LeBlanc, senior program manager of Microsoft's Windows Insider Program team, further explained the reason for the delay. He revealed that the delay was caused by a "very serious" new vulnerability.
Microsoft urgently halts Win11 25H2 testing! Serious vulnerability affects almost the entire system
LeBlanc described the vulnerability as "really bad" and said it affects the functionality of the operating system, including key features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and the camera.
When asked if the issue affects the current build, LeBlanc confirmed that it is due to a code change in a newer, yet-to-be-released build (likely one intended for 25H2).
On the other hand, Microsoft is clearly aware of this problem and is testing a fix. It is not clear how long the fix will take, but Microsoft obviously hopes to continue testing 25H2 after the problem is resolved.
